Business Problems/Challenges Aimed to Address

There is an extensive knowledge base that employees must learn to provide high-quality service to their clients.

There are many details and nuances related to the gas and oil industry that every employee must learn and understand.

The onboarding time for new employees is lengthy, and it takes a significant amount of time for new hires to reach their peak performance.

Veterans are often distracted by new employees who ask numerous trivial questions, leading to reduced productivity among experienced staff.

SOLUTION

1. Conduct workshops to map the main business processes requiring heavy use of the corporate knowledge base.


2. Identify the 20% of these business processes that are most common and repetitive.


3. Develop a proof of concept for a Corporate Knowledge Agent (CKA) based on generative AI technology and leveraging corporate knowledge. The CKA, which has a ChatGPT-like interface and functionality, can answer questions from new employees based on the corporate knowledge base and also show the sources of its answers to assure employees that the information is reliable.

OUTCOMES

A Corporate Knowledge Agent with a ChatGPT-like interface was developed.

New employees asked 20 common questions and received answers that were verified by veterans as correct.

A roadmap was created to develop a comprehensive CKA for all business processes.
